Why Titleist Golf Balls Are #1

Why is it that Titleist allways has a one up on it's competition? It is because they know what consumers want, plus a great marketing scheme. Look at the people they have marketing their products, PGA Tour stars such as Ernie Els, Mark O'meara, new comer Kevin Na, and many others, no wonder its the #1 ball in golf. Plus if you have ever played with a Titleist Pro V1 you will notice that it is far more durable than any other ball in it's category. Along with the Titelist golf ball revolution, they also have a boat load of clubs and apparel to choose from. I know Tiger Woods went from Titelist to Nike, but I don't think that is going to stop them anytime soon.

I think it also has to do with the simple fact of reputation. Titleist has never put their name on something that wasn't in the top two or three in the given catagory. They always test out higher than other balls in terms of all around performance (ie. spin rate, distance, and intangibles such as feel and ball flight). There is more to this ball than what meets the eye, and unless you know what a solidly struck golf shot feels like you shouldn't waste your money on a ball of this calibre. It really is the best ball out there, period.

I have been playing with Titleist balls since I was wet behind the ears. Titleist balls have worked great up until I tried the new Rock Flight 3000. The Rock Flights offer superior performance along with outstanding durability. I wouldn't dare trying to tackling any course without a 40 of Old E and a sleeve of Rock Flights.
